So as I’ve begun blogging about books on my other blog, I’ve paid a little more attention to the Google Analytics, and have notice that some people may have arrived here after searching common “laundry” terms. My apologies; when I first started this blog it was not at all on my radar the thought of being found in a search engine for some one looking up how one might wash they’re new silk delicates (assuming you would wash silk?). It does turn out I have a great name and title for a niche blog if I wanted to talk about stain removal, but as my iron serves a more “decorative” purpose, and most of my laundry loads are a rainbow of colors, you will find no useful laundry tips here. My apologies for those misdirection's.
The only slightly maybe related topic you may find here is I plan to embark on learning how to sew. I have not the first clue; well maybe a little clue, I can thread a needle and sew a button (though probably not correctly). I plan to start by making my daughters a “ticky- tacky” doll…pray for me, I’ll need all the help I can get.

Elephant Jokes
The elephant joke in all of it’s forms have always been some of my favorites. The one I’m most fond of is about the elephant in the fridge.
Q: How many elephants can you fit in a VW bug?
A: Five: two in the front, two in the back, and one in the trunk.
Q: How can you tell an elephant has been in your fridge?
A: There are footprints in the butter.
Q: How can you tell if two elephants have been in your fridge?
A: There are two sets of footprints in your butter.
Q: How can you tell if three elephants have been in your fridge?
A: There are three sets of footprints in your butter.
Q: How can you tell if four elephants have been in your fridge?
A: There are four sets of footprints in your butter.
Q: How can you tell if five elephants have been in your refrigerator?
A: There are VW tracks in the butter.
At our house we’ve made our own:
Q: How many teeth does Lily have?
A: Quite a few.
Q: How can you tell if Lily’s been in the fridge?
A: Bite marks in the butter.
Too bad I didn’t take a picture or I would have had a second one about how can you tell she’s been playing with the laptop…(there are a lot of missing keys.

Happy Valentine’s Day
Today was “Lulu’s” first Valentine’s Day, and though it will and has come and gone without notice to her it’s a milestone for those of us who did.
Grammy send both the girls the cute little hugs and kisses bags. Lucy got the Elmo rattle and an Elmo book. Luckily Lily hasn’t tried to steal it too many times! Lucy’s also trying to eat the book Great Grandma got her, she’s a paper eater and would much more enjoy that then book. This picture is pre sticky note destruction.
Little Miss Lily may look like she’s having a good time but I had to tickle her to get her to even sit up for the picture.
I guess she figured she was at least sitting up, she wasn’t going to smile. Lucy on the other hand loves to have her picture taken!
I did at least get one picture semi decent of them together. And one last heart to leave you with this Valentine’s Day.
Hope yours was as Lovely as Little Miss Lily and Lucy

Unexpected Snow
When I went to sleep the ground was dry and the temperature not too cold. As I awoke this is what I found.
I know it’s less then an inch but a month ago this would’ve closed school, and caused delays in my area. This would have been more then we could have dreamed of. Until February. Our first snow left at least 6 inches which is more then are area has had in 20 years. About a week after that we got another snow which was a little more then the above picture. I’m surprised by last nights snow only because I didn’t expect it, I guess I should watch the weather, but for the whole area this really not the norm.

Machine Wash Cold
Set your water temperature to "cold" on your clothes washer. Unless your clothes have oil or grease stains, cold water is usually adequate to clean white and colored clothes. In fact, washing clothes in cold water allows fabrics to retain their color and strength longer.
Hot water tends to make some clothing shrink, wrinkle, and fade.
Cold water allows fabrics to retain their color and strength longer. Hot water will shrink, wrinkle , and fade clothing so in the washing machine of my life I'd prefer you follow the instructions on the tag; machine wash cold. I would much prefer to keep the vibrant colors I was given, as well as the strength, to continue to show them when someone forgets to follow the instructions and put me in the Hot cycle. Because we all know there is someone in every family that throws all the dirty clothes in one load regardless of color or regard to what the setting was last one. So sometimes clothes will shrink a bit, maybe slightly fade. But garments tend too over time. And if you take care you can protect your most favorite items. And hey there's always a warm or low iron to get the occasional wrinkle out.

Sky Watch Friday- What the Sky Wasn't
These were taken at dusk after a somewhat rainy day. To enjoy more Sky Watch Friday Posts here at Wigger's World. Thanks for all the comments last week and all those to come.
So I posted this on the comment page but it seems to skipped over so I've posted it here as well:
Low Iron Only said...
sorry it took so long on the response but I don't have a computer at home. I tried to use it on my phone but it wouldn't let me:(
So the story behind the photos:
The second photo is just as the sky was. Point and shoot and a beautiful sky from God.
The first was a fluke. Truls hit on it first, the water. When I went back to my computer I was astonished to find it, not knowing where, or how it came to be. These were taken while driving? It even got me at first. That is actually just a picture of the sky. Turns out I didn't roll my window down enough to take the shot. What resembles a land mass is just the edge of the window, and the other line that runs across the picture is a power line. If you really look those are not reflections just the bottom of the trees.
So again my apologies on holding out for so long and thanks for all the comments. (and Craver, I'll have to post a blog next week about why the name)
